Anyone out there have experience with this? I’ve dug through all the X-rite docs but can’t find an answers as to why/when you’d use the white vs. black strip on the backer tray? My intended use is inkjet & digitial press profiling.

The balck surface is intended for making measurements on papers that might have inking on the opposing side.
Professionals tend to use the white backing.
I recommend you use the white backing.
