Anyone who has the newer MacBook Pro laptops with the Intel processor may find that the front surface of your 3D gamuts will become “invisible” when viewed with a flat or smooth surface option.
Apparently there are some “known issues” between Apple and Nvidia who makes the graphics cards on these MacBooks, and it is likely to be related to that. We are looking into the precise cause of this and what we could do to solve it.
From what we’ve found this only affects:
- MacBook Pro with the Intel Chip
- Profile gamut projection (plot as points & images are not affected)
- Flat or smooth gamut surface (wireframe is not affected)
- The front surface skin of the profile gamut.
If anyone is encountering a similar abnormality on a setup other than this, please let me know!
