photoshop will see profile in view proof setup

I made a profile using scanvec rip (profiling engine), when I try to view this profile in photoshop this profile does not show on the drop down list.

  1. yes the profile is in windows/system32/spool/drivers/color

  2. yes the internal and the file name is the same for the profile

  3. used chromix profile medic no erros found

  4. This is a six color profile. cmykog…

would appreciate any suggestions.

Photoshop does not support n-color or Hexachrome profiles such as CMYKOG. If its a Gretag generated profile, you could use the Gretag multi color plugin for Photoshop to process images. There’s also Aurelon’s N-Color converter plugin for Photoshop. I can’t say whether you’d get an accurate softproof with either though (not to mention the limitations of the monitor gamut). You could also use applescript for converting…or a compliant Rip.
