Hello,
if a CMYK tiff image without an embedded profile is represented in the LAB 3-D graph, how is the CMYK data mapped without a profile? Or is a profile assumed?
Thanks,

Technically, ColorThink doesn’t support graphing of CMYK images. When you do this anyway, Quicktime does some unknown conversion to RGB, which is then graphed assuming the monitor profile for graphing in Lab.
From experience, we’ve found that ColorThink does an O.K. job with CMYK as a rough guide, but the results should definitely be taken with a large grain of salt.
If you want to graph CMYK data, you can do it with a color list with a profile applied.
